Some confusion around “where do I get it” and “it’s slower than they showed in the demo”:
GPT-4o has rolled out on some accounts. At least on my account, it is an option. However, it seems like the updated GPT-voice is taking longer to roll out. So even though the app might show GPT-4o, you may not necessarily have access to GPT-4o VOICE. The way to tell if you have it is if you’re able to enable the camera while on GPT-voice. If all you see is the pause button and the “X” button, you probably DON’T have it yet, so it will be responding slower. Hope that clears things up!

I tried seeing if it could solve a puzzle! The one with the bomber that tries to release its bombs but they don't drop. I asked Chat why and it solved it. Chat took a while exploring many solutions before it got the correct answer, which is that the plane is flying upside-down. The fact that Chat took time, proves it's using reasoning and intelligence instead of it searching for the puzzle on the Internet and learning the solution. I was amazed!!

I uploaded it and it was absolute rubbish. Unlike the basic chat GPT which you can have a full-on conversation with and play guessing games and get it to write letters and songs and ask any question you want, this 4.0 version was really Glitchy and slow and weird and could only do text told me that it doesn't have a voice conversation option😢😢😢
4o is nothing special. Its actually crap compared to claude.

My 4o spun up a python vm to solve a task Filled it up with scripts and ran the scripts it wrote. One had a compile error it stopped the machine and fixed a missing library by running pip. Then off it went. My brain exploded watching this go down.
Would be nice if the feature actually was rolled out to my paid account 🤷🏼♂️

I see a pattern with people who use apple phones and the use of AI chat. Is it an iSheep thing to use gpt? Because I don't see any decent phone users doing it.
Btw they aren’t releasing the best model. That model is being used by the military and also btw the Military AI is already a better coder than any coder in the world, there’s a new coding language created by that AI that’s way more efficient and they use that secret AI to do all the coding work for the new AI from now on and btw this AI is running on state of the art quantum computers, computers you won’t see for another 50 years, and once we do see that level of technology they will have been light years ahead of that already. They will never release their best technology. They are light years ahead than what we see publicly and they always will be, it’s a strategic plan really and if it weren’t the case then all other countries would be at our level via reverse engineering what we release publicly which they already are they think they are close to us 😂

With no emotion in the voice, ai assistants are boring. If you want to have an assistant like that, go ask your questions to google with your microphone lol.
Friendliness is important for ai assistant and that makes people work much more energetic because people won't feel alone while working. Instead, it is like working with your friend and chat gpt's opinions and ideas then are matter.

GPT 4 is still thousand times better than GPT-4o for complex coding and math problems and also data analysis. With a detailed prompt GPT-4o throws bunch of junk codes that doesn't work (for simple code GPT-4o just works) and Math has tons of wrong steps (again works for simple math).
Its getting crazy.. We are witnessing a crazy part of history as we speak. Right now is the time where the difference between the poor and the wealthy will become huge. People that don't learn how to utilize AI to get ahead will be left behind and eventually struggle because robots will replace most jobs. AI gives everyone the ability to achieve.
