The worst drawback here is that advanced voice mode cannot be resumed once you exit the chat and want to go back to it.

But maybe it’s not available in all countries but that does not prevent you from using a VPN app to change the country where you live in that is supported because example I am living in Hong Kong and I use a VPN like to change the country to the US or to the UK and I can still able to pay for ChatGPT plus and use the advanced voice without actually traveling by plane to the country that it supports.
But to me, even though I might be typing to ChatGPT instead of speaking once I tap the voice icon. It was still allow to automatically talk to GPT with the advanced voice without enabling it again.
And with mi e there's no delay either like i seen on yours

It's cool that it can do my accent (Scottish) but it can't do Chinese, Korean or Japanese accents as well as others. It says it's offensive haha so is it actually offensive or do those folk not have a funny bone in them ?

There are some people like me that find talking in long sessions exhausting, plus most of the stuff i do requires describing in precision which is better served by thinking more and then typing it in detail. Especially when it comes to programming and other technical concepts. I understand how voice mode could be helpful to many people, but I currently don't have much use for it, other than keeping my mind occupied with internet searches and inquiries on things I'm interested, while I drive to work and back (which would be awesome)

I've seen advanced voice mode can't access things from the internet but the voice mode prior to this had internet access.

For me, it’s a giant improvement. I just got into chatGPT a few weeks ago and I already canceled my subscription because the voice function was just so clunky and stuttered constantly.
It’s a giant improvement for me now, u can actually hold a conversation although it still picks up my “hmm” and “ahhs” as interceptions. But I’d say it an easy 7-8 out of 10 where it was more like a 3 for me before

Has anyone figured out how to get voice mode working on desktop? I've tried loading it in Bluestacks and it doesn't work.
Having a voice assistant is a fine concept, but how long can a verbal chat session be? When do they cut you off to wait several hours to use it again? How much can you realistically get done in that timeframe (context window?)? And, of course, if you switch back and forth from typing to voice and back (no matter if it's "advanced" or not), will both typing/texting and voice be counted the same in your current session with the AI? Just asking for a friend.
