I just tried ChatGPT as a newbie indie dev using unity.
Chatgpt is fixing everything for me 😂😂😂
I like it when after it fix my problem
it always has explaination reslly helping me improve
I’ve been trying to do this but idk how to actually RUN the code it writes, I’m trying to test out/learn programming from it
All the ai to create a bot to play the game. It'll create a bot to terminate you in pong.😅

Thanks to teach ChatGPT lot of thing.👍
I’ve been able to make full games in C# using gpt-4 its definitely a lot better then chatGPt at writing code
Web developers are in trouble cos the AI gonna replace them
I have been writing C# since it was in beta. I hope that I can retire before I’m obsolete.
I don't know if this is neat or not. I mean, the code is avaliable, and you're asking it to make something that already exists. Tell it to make a game with a ball and two paddles that bounce the ball back and forth.
for me it play automaticly without reading key wtf
We're doomed folks, time to find a new careerpath
And one more thing that i found very useful is when you get messy exception that some services can't be registered because they did't find dependecies in service provider to give this exception to chatgpt and it will tell you what service you need to register

Some time ago I was looking through random Console Pong implementations and found all of them to be terrible, mostly because you cant use Console.ReadKey and stuff for input to a game.
Would be pretty impressive if ChatGPT actually realized that and knew a better way AND actually used that from the start.
I ended up implementing my own version from scratch using DirectInput (bypassing the console input completely) and a bunch of multi-threading. It worked almost as well as a "real" game with that.
Oh and then I also feature-creeped in DUAL mouse support for both players because I've wanted to try using that somewhere for ages.
ChatGpt actually does a great job of creating text adventures. Try telling it to create a haunted house, and you will provide commands to find a keyh or something to escape.
I’ve been finding that it will produce code with methods that aren’t even in the libraries it imports on a lot of C# stuff, or will generate code with methods that are commented to do certain things, but the method body is basically empty. I think it’s cool for basic stuff, but anything more involved like bit shifts and such it seems to struggle.
Ngl. i can't wait to see chat gpt make it purchasable companion like alexa. like imaging having that A.I companion that you can ask anything and provide you with answers that from Language model rather than Indexd responsed from a search engine that can be outdated or god forbid from qouara
